Prepared for Eugene Frank, Bison Marketing Services · by Jordin Rusnack, BlooTel · November 2026
I went through your website, your Google listing and every bid on your last 14 lots. Here is what I found, what it is costing you, and how we fix it.
Your auctions work. Buyers show up, and bull calves went from $4.58 to $5.73 a pound in one year on your site.
Almost everything around the bidding is broken. Buyers and sellers hit dead ends before they ever bid or book a sale with you.
The fix is your own bison auction platform. Same web address, no more WordPress, text alerts to every bidder, and lots you post from your phone. Pricing is below, in phases.
In March 2026, your sale and Jack Auction Group's sale sold the same kinds of calves, nine days apart. Your lot with 7 bidders matched Jack's price. Your lots with 3 or 4 bidders came in under it.
Price per pound. Same month, same kind of calf.
Only 25 different bidder numbers show up across all 14 of your lots. Two or three more serious bidders per lot is the single biggest thing that would raise your prices and bring sellers back.
522 of your 546 bids came on the last day. If a buyer isn't looking at his phone in those last two hours, he isn't in your sale, and right now nothing reminds him.
Each of these costs you a bidder, a seller, or trust. I checked every one on November 5.
All three "Shop now" buttons open "Page not found". It's the first thing people click.
"Taking bookings" is all over the homepage, but there's no booking form, and your phone number is buried in a 2024 news post.
Signup asks for a "Website", then says to send back a PDF that isn't attached anywhere. Then they wait for you to make the account by hand.
It still advertises "Online Auction October 29th" (that was 2025), shows no live lots, and says © 2023. Buyers stop checking a site that looks shut down.
Lot 27 said 1 PM and took bids until 3:31 PM. Lot 36 said 4:30 PM; its winning bid came at 4:59 PM. Your posted closing rule doesn't match how your sales actually closed, and two pages list different late-pickup fees.
On Lot 31, two buyers traded bids a cent at a time for almost an hour. Lot 34 took 94 bids. A rancher doing chores can't keep that up.
"$3.38" and "$100,000.00" look the same. Per pound? Per head? The whole herd? A new buyer has to guess.
You're not on the Canadian Bison Association's auction market list (Jack Auction Group is). Your results never reach the CBA price report, and your videos sit on a personal YouTube channel with titles like "Lot31-1".
Your admin username is public, your sign-in link opens the WordPress back door, and the auction software is a version behind (2.1.1, current is 3.0.11). A bad update in sale week stops bidding.
In Canada for "online bison auction" (checked Nov 5). We keep every page address so you keep it.
All 14 lots had one. That's what a buyer three provinces away needs.
No hauling, no sale barn, less stress. Sellers know the price before anything is loaded.
Clair, SK sellers consigned in March 2025 and again in March 2026, into a rising market.
No more WordPress store with an auction plugin bolted on. We build you a platform made for selling bison, on the same web address, and run it for you.
| Today | With BlooTel |
|---|---|
| Buttons that lead to dead pages | Every button goes to a live sale, a booking, or a phone call |
| Buyers wait for you to make their account | They sign up in a minute; you approve with one tap on your phone |
| Buyers have to watch the clock | Texts when a sale opens, when they're outbid, and in the final hour |
| Bidding a cent at a time | Buyers can set their top price and walk away; the system bids for them one step at a time, only as high as needed |
| Adding a lot in the WordPress editor | Add a lot from your phone in about 10 minutes: photos, video, head, weight, how it sells |
| "$3.38" | "$3.38 per lb, 45 head, about $114,000 for the lot" |
Tested on your real sales. We ran all 546 bids from your 14 lots through the new system. Same winner and same price on every lot. Then we fired 600 bids at it in bursts of 75 at the same instant, to make sure two buyers clicking in the same second can never both win.
Your Google spot stays put. bisonmarketing.ca stays yours, every page Google already ranks keeps its exact address, and we watch your rankings in Google's own tools through the switch.
